Co-Ed Elective: 1 & 2 Thessalonians - Living in the End Times Sundays 9:30am at GBC Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again. For centuries Christians have proclaimed these central truths. The gospel that began in space and time will ultimately be fulfilled at Christ's return. And as we wait and long for Christ's return, this gospel gives us encouragement and a reason for hope. These ten studies on Paul's letters to the Thessalonians open our minds to the truth, lift our hearts to hope, and cause us to worship our faithful, victorious God. Please join us in the conference room, on Sunday mornings at 9:30, as we study God’s word. Ray & Dawn Durkee

& Kelly Brenn Ladies Elective: Pathways; from Providence to Purpose Thursdays 6:30pm at GBC Please join us Thursday nights at 6:30 p.m. as we dig deeper into the story of Esther. Pathways; from Providence to Purpose, takes us on a journey to truly examine how God used Esther in difficult times. As Tony Evans states,“The story of Esther appears to be a series of coincidences that deliver the Jews from certain death. However, God selected Esther for a particular purpose at a particular time in the history of His chosen people.” God has a purpose for your life, and He uses every action and event that occurs in it to make that purpose a reality. Tony Evans uses the story of Esther to help you discover the power of God’s providence in the midst of your personal pain, fear, gain, loss, and love in this study. Please join us as we explore ways to trust God along the dark pathways of life. |

Men's Elective: The Good Life Thursdays 6-7:15am at GBC So much in our culture is catered to make us happy. Billions of dollars are spent yearly to keep us constantly entertained and comfortable. Yet so many comfortable and entertained people are still miserable or at least keen to the fact they are not happy. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Yet when it comes to looking for happiness we often chase the same things that never make us happy. Let’s try something new. Let’s look to God’s word to find our happiness. Join us Thursday mornings at 6am in the GBC conference room as we pursue happiness together. Tom & Jolie Knoebel
Co-Ed Elective: Get Used to Different Tuesdays 6:00pm off-campus Limit: 12 people This group will be watching THE CHOSEN (season 1) and discussing the biblical verses, personalities and insights that are portrayed in each episode. If you’ve watched the series, you already know how powerful it can be in deepening your faith. If you haven’t, prepare for an amazing experience! The Chosen is the first-ever multi-season TV show about the life of Jesus. Created outside of the Hollywood system, The Chosen allows us to see Him through the eyes of those who knew him. No matter where you are at in your journey with Jesus Christ, this TV show is for you. Each week we will eat dinner together while watching an episode, then follow up with a discussion of what we’ve seen. We’ll dive into the scriptures that the episode was based on, we’ll dig into the characters that were involved in the episode, and we’ll discuss how our faith is impacted by what we’ve seen. Co-Ed Virtual Elective: Glory Days Thursdays 7:00pm Online Cost: $8 Life has a way of taking the life out of us. Often we go through situations where the challenge seems so much greater than our strength. During such times, we can find hope and inspiration from the story of Joshua. God has called Joshua to take over from Moses and lead the Israelites into a paradigm shift from wilderness wandering to promise-believing. In Canaan, they would not fight for victory but fight from victory. God had a Promised Land in store for them, but hey had to grasp that reality, change their mindsets, and take action to receive it. The same is true for us today. God is telling us that our best days - our "glory days" - are still ahead of us. We only need to grasp the truth and live in faith to realize this promise. |
